TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM
Technology can affect how children connect, communicate, socialize, and most importantly learn. Our 3rd-8th graders are 1:1 with Chromebooks and Pre-K-2nd grade utilize iPads. When used properly, technology in the classroom can:
- reach a variety of learning styles.
- help students prepare for the real world environment.
- encourage collaboration.
- engage more students in learning activities.
- help students take control of their own learning experience.
- give students access to the most up-to date information.

SMART FAMILIES
We are excited to announce a new partnership with Smart Families, an organization dedicated to helping school communities create healthier and safer habits around technology. Together, we’ll take steps to reduce the negative impact of smartphones and social media on our students and family life, promoting strong relationships and a better school environment. To learn more about the Smart Families organization, click the button below. Throughout the year, all PreK-8 students will attend age-appropriate Smart Families presentations during the school day to learn about making healthy choices with technology. Faculty and staff will also receive training, ensuring our entire community is informed and supported.
Strong parent engagement is key to the success of this important initiative. Our first Smart Families Parent Meeting was held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The button below will connect you to the slidedeck from that presentation by Dr. Collier.
Thank you for your partnership as we work to support our students’ well-being.
