Student Life

We know that knowledge alone will not give students the skills and tools they need to succeed in life.  Students need to learn the value of taking personal responsibility for their actions and work.  They grow from making mistakes and having the confidence to be persistent in trying something again.  Students need the opportunity to explore new interests and deepen their understanding of who they are and appreciate what limitations they might have. With all of these learning experiences and knowledge, St. Christina students students become capable and strong leaders.  For teachers and parents, there is a great deal of pride in seeing a student capable of expressing him or herself with confidence, poise and a respectful sense of humor.  St. Christina School believes it is our responsibility to help children have these experiences. From pre-school through grade eight, we instill the St. Christina spirit so our students become  compassionate, thoughtful, and engaging role models to others.

Technology in the Classroom

Technology impacts so much of a student’s life. It can affect how children connect, communicate, socialize, and most importantly learn. Technology is in our future and we believe that when used properly, use of technology in the classroom can:

  • reach a variety of learning styles.
  • help students prepare for the real world environment.
  • encourage collaboration.
  • engage more students in learning activities.
  • help students take control of their own learning experience.
  • give students access to the most  up-to date information.

Online Books

St. Christina school enhances the student experience by incorporating e-books in our academic curriculum. Online books make accessing current educational materials at the touch of a button. In addition to ease of access, online books help diversify learning by using multi-media tie ins to lesson plans. This allows us to better address the learning style needs of each and every student.
