School Advisory Committee (SAC)

The St. Christina School Advisory Committee is an organization, which act as an advisory board to the Principal. As outlined by the Archdiocese of Chicago Office of Catholic Education, its responsibilities are:

1. To develop, formulate and adopt policies that will help St. Christina School reach its goals
2. To act as the public relations arm of the School
3. To review and advise on the annual School budget; including tuition rates
4. To represent its constituency through open meetings
5. To participate in evaluation processes that are required by the Office of Catholic Education
6. To collaborate with the Pastor in hiring the Principal
7. To collaborate in the implementation and monitoring of the School’s five-year plan
8. To determine sources of funding
9. To develop marketing strategies

Generally, School Advisory Committee meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Center. Please check the school calendar HERE to double-check meeting dates. All parents/guardians are encouraged to attend.

Public Participation at SAC Meetings

If an individual wants to ask a question or make a comment during the public participation time of the monthly SAC meeting(s), the Public Participation Form below must be filled out 3 days prior to the meeting.

The individual need not be present at the meeting in order for their question/comment to be shared. Public participation is limited to either 1 question or 2 minutes.

Please note:

  • This is not a time to talk publicly about specific staff members, families, or community members.

  • You should always bring your concern first to the appropriate party, before utilizing the Public Participation Form.

  • At no time is the St. Christina School Advisory Committee required to respond or answer questions during the meeting.

  • Public participation comments do not necessarily warrant a response from the Committee at the time of participation.
